They come in two sizes to ensure a perfect fit and leak-free period and come with a handy storage bag.

Small Cup: This small cup is ideal for people with a light to medium flow but can be used with heavier flows too, so long as it is emptied more frequently. If you have a low cervix you may prefer this cup.

Medium cup: This medium cup is suitable for a medium to heavy flow. If you have a low cervix and use this cup, you may wish to trim the stem.

What is a Ruby Cup menstrual cup?

A Ruby Cup is simply a cup you insert into your vagina during your period to collect menstrual fluid. You can periodically take it out, rinse the cup and use it again. Simple, clean, easy to use and safe. There are no links with silicone cups and toxic syndrome, cups don't affect vaginal moisture and don't contain unwanted chemicals. They're ethically made in China from medical grade silicone in a factory with high labour and environmental standards.

How to use and fold the Ruby Cup

While folded, the menstrual cup is inserted, into the lower vagina but beyond the pubic bone. When released, the cup unfolds and is held in position by a seal formed by the walls of the vagina and pressure from the vaginal muscles. You can try different folding methods and find the best one for you. We have added the most common problems when using different folds in the instructions.

"C-fold" or "Heart fold"

"C-fold" or "Heart fold" is the basic fold that most use. Sometimes it might be too wide and cup not easy to pop open.

"Punch down fold" or "Shell fold"

"Punch down fold" or "Shell fold" is the folding method that most younger people use. The cup is smaller to insert but depending on unique anatomy this fold might be difficult to get open.

"7 fold" or "Triangle fold"

"7 fold" or "Triangle fold" is a nice fold if you have problems to get the cup in. There also might be problems to get the cup open correctly with this fold.

Buy one, give one

Ruby Cup are working to help many young women across Africa for whom periods are more than a mere inconvenience. For girls with no access to sanitary protection, their education is severely affected with one week in four is spent at home instead of at school. For each cup purchased, one cup is given to a schoolgirl in Africa along with information on sexual education and health.
